![]() The bottom intakes are pwm and the header is set to pwm, and no, they do not stop spinning if i set them to 0, they are always running at 600pm minimum, which is what i dont understand. It just makes me think something is dodgy with this motherboard. I don't think thats supposed to happen, but happens regardless. i managed to put that on another header and its spinning roughly at the same speed than the noctua.įunny thing is i can set the cpu header to dc, which will make both fans stop spinning (when connected to the cpu header) lol. Yeap i understand the issue of the cpu fan, it's because the header is pwm only, so the noctua fan (push) works properly but the bequiet 3pin will run at 100%. Tldr, i believe only 3pin fans will work properly on the bottom intake, and ill also need a solution for the second cpu fan (probably pwm), its a mess, and i think its because of the motherboard controls not really working as they should (msi b350m mortar) (just to show how it currently is, at idle) I mean right now ive decided to simply not buy any new fans, but long term i need a better solution, while everything works at the moment this setup isnt ideal, for example i also need another fan for the "pull" on my cpu cooler, its currently not even connected to the cpu fan header because it just spins at full blast when i connect it (also a pure wings 3pin) and the bequiets *are* loud when run at full speed lol. So basically just take the risk with 3 pin fans of the fans wearing out faster? The fan usually cools itself when in operation.īut, what im supposed to do then? i have pwm fans (the Lepa) as the bottom intakes currently and they simply wont stop spinning, minimum always 600rpm. This can wear the fan out more quickly if not properly cooled. Keep in mind that not using enough power to get the fan spinning can still heat the motor up. PWM uses 12v pulses which can keep the fan running at lower speeds.
